Picture of my new working desk here in the far east, but first I would like to thank Gary Stark, a damn good friend, who, when I realised that the daylight bulbs I brought with me were bayonet fitting types, and all the lamps here were screw in, he sat down, eat a box of Belgium chocolate buscuits, and sent me 4 daylight screw in bulbs, in the tin, [although he never sent me any of the buscuits,] and as I type, is organising 4 more, and some other equiptment I need, thank you Gary, and for those who know me, the dearth of books in the pic will be resolved soon, as another damn good friend Steve Earl is storing up some books that I had ordered through Amazon, and will put into a case, so when my step daughter visits in the summer, she will have to explain to the customs why she has over 30 books with her and 4 boxes of Tetrion for my figure basing, and hopefully a bottle of brown sauce, as you cant get that here, red yes, but not brown, you cant even buy that in any of the wallmarts that are here, yes the Americans have their foot in the door, so if anyone is comming to China, pop a bottle of HP brown sauce in their bag, and give me a shout.
Also a big thank you to the lads at the Hong Kong wargames society, for giving me the heads up on the Chinese name for white spirit, Tian na Shui. Also I have to find some model trees and hills, and an opponent, can't be that hard, there is 1.4 billion people here. Well a bit of disaster, the above is not white spirit but as I am a lucky sod, some of the time, I found a model shop here, and they do paint thinner, and it works, so all my metal armour can be washed using my Revell matt black paint, and the new Chinese paint thinner, and wiped off when dry with wire wool, also another hard to find substance, I miss Homebase, found a supplier here, but had to go to a specialist shop for that to, hurrah, panicked a bit, was thinking of ways to sneak white spirit into the country, dont have to now, would be easier to get drugs in than white spirit. but at least you dont get shot for importing white spirit, well I dont think you do.
